ABSTRACT
Twenty-five patients complaining of dysphagia were studied. Rigid esophagoscopy was done for all patients and brush cytology utilizing a newly designed brush as well as punch biopsy were done. Meanwhile, fiberoptic esophagoscopy with brush cytology and punch biopsy were done in ten patients only. Brush cytology was positive in 100% of patients utilizing the designed brush which proved to be more convenient
